Is Rotational Molding better than Blow Molding

Date

First, let us review the definition of them:

Rotational molding, which is a common means of creating plastic parts that are increasingly gaining traction as an alternative means to plastic injection molding and other plastic producing processes.

Blow molding is the process of forming a molten tube of thermoplastic material and placing the parison or perform within a mold cavity. And inflating the tube with compressed air to take the shape of the cavity and cool the part before removing from the mold.

From above, we can know that some hollow plastic parts can be made in both ways. If so when I have a hollow plastic part want to make, which way should I choose?

We know that both of them have their advantages and disadvantages, so as to this problem, we should divide it into three aspects.

1. Rotational molding way only.

2. Blow molding way only.

3. Both two ways can make it.

As to the previous two, you do not think too much.

But if this hollow plastic part meets Point 3, we should put the quantity in the first place.

For large quantities, we think blow molding is a better choice, but if the quantity is not so much, we should consider rotational molding.

Actually, both of the two ways play an important role in the plastic industry. We should focus on both making our life more colorful.
